Latest Trends in the World of Weight Loss
Weight loss is a touchy subject. It has always been a hot topic of discussion on the internet, and with so many opinions, diets and what not floating around, it’s almost impossible to know what to do and what not to.
The thing with being overweight is that you know it’s bad. On top of the body shaming and societal issues that come with it, there are also health issues. Lethargy, increased heart risk and cancer are just some of the huge array of dangers that obesity can lead to.
As a female fitness expert, I often come across questions like “what fitness techniques should we adopt to use in our lifestyle to lose weight?”
Such queries often flow in from women who have a hard time staying in shape. If such questions arise in your mind, then continue reading. I will try and help you get to the gist of what you need to do to stay in shape, while ignoring the noise.
Cut the Cola
There are no two opinions about this. Carbonated drinks will slowly kill you. They will never advertise this, and these beverages are usually marketed aggressively, but you need to say no.
The soft drinks that you enjoy so much with your favorite pizza contain high sugar content and are actually more harmful than you think. The flabby tummy that you hate so much – well the colas are responsible.
Consume less Fast Food
Of all the convenience foods, fast food is something that all of us love eating the most. Let me tell you – I love it too. Believe me, if you are one of those people who thrive on fast food, then you might want to take a step back and rethink your eating habits. Weight gain is the most apparent symptom of the horrors that you might have to face, just in case you don’t take it seriously. Losing weight can be much easier only if you get this area sorted.
Get Good Sleep
I have personally observed how lack of sleep results in bad eating habits leading to a gain in weight. In order to lose weight and have a healthier, happier lifestyle you must get at least six hours of uninterrupted sleep every night. When you do, you are more prone to getting hungry and eating at a fixed time thus stopping you from eating all the wrong things at odd hours.
Take Breaks at Work
Another major factor that contributes to being overweight is our bad working habits. You may not realize this, but sitting stationary in your cubicle for long periods in front of a computer actually does a lot of damage. Make it a point to take a five to ten minute stretch break every now and then.
I understand that it is quite a challenge for most of us to find time, especially to hit the gym. What you can do is to start slow but be very particular about it. Brisk walk, slow jog or a few pushups and squats, early in the morning not only are instrumental to losing weight that makes you look ugly, but also helps you lead a much healthier life, trust me.
